I made a Miniature HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE out of junk // Ghibli Crafts I made a Miniature HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE out of junk // Ghibli Crafts
Howl's Moving Castle. It's big (21" tall). It's heavy-ish (4.2 lbs). It's made out of junk (mostly). Help yourself to a full breakfast and strap yourself in to the merry-go-round of life for almost a full hour. In total, this project took roughly 300-400 hours spread over 60 days to complete. Castlevania Series Retrospective | A Complete History and Review Castlevania Series Retrospective | A Complete History and Review
The channel rises again thanks to the Patrons! - https://patreon.com/IFinishedAVideoGame Thanks to Netflix, Castlevania is currently more popular than it's ever been but where are the new games? Why is it that a series that has given us countless classic games and spawned entire genres lies dormant? There is only one way to find out and that's to embark on a journey through all 33 games, across Belmonts and Vampires, consoles and generations - deep into the house of the dark Count Dracula. It's part critique, part retrospective, part review and part history lesson - obviously full of spoilers and obviously full of my opinions. How the song "Undertale" Hits Home How the song "Undertale" Hits Home
A single instrument makes for the most memorable moment in Undertale. I take a look at the title track from Undertale and how it uses an acoustic guitar to achieve the game's goal. UPDATE: I failed to recognise in this video that the acoustic guitar is not the ONLY live recorded in the entire soundtrack. There is a piano played in the track Last Goodbye. I don't think this detracts from my point too much, as it comes much later in the game (the end of a second play-through), isn't the focus of the track and there are already some rather realistic piano samples on the soundtrack so isn't used to the same effect. -- Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/mittopotahis Patreon: http://www.patreon.com/gamescorefanfare -- "An Examination of Leitmotifs and Their Use to Shape Narrative in UNDERTALE", by Jason Yu: http://jasonyu.me/undertale-part-1/ "Undertale & the Power of the Predominant | Ongaku Concept: Video Game Music Theory" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXdet1tqa5o Thank you to Joshua Taipale for chatting with me about some of the theoretical things in the music. Music is so often overlooked in games because that's all part of its job: to move you without you even noticing. I want to explore and share the unique ways games can use music and how it intersects with game design and story. I'll be shining a light on the games and people who have taken the medium of video game music seriously and pushed its limits to create one of the most diverse genres of music that we have.
